Pricing

RankHound pricing: plans to get recommended by ChatGPT, Claude and Google AI

Every plan runs all six engines, shows which answers name a competitor instead of you and which pages they read, and keeps re-checking so you can see whether your changes worked. Exactly one thing changes between plans: how many prompts you track. Brands, competitors, teammates and alerts are the same on the cheapest plan as the dearest.

Four plans, one difference

Everything except the number of prompts is identical on every plan.

Yearly is ten months' price. Two months free.

The same on all four: all six engines, tracked continuously, and 5 brands, 25 competitors and 25 teammates. The measurement is identical on every plan, and prompts are the only thing that differs. Card required, nothing charged for 7 days.

One prompt is 32 answers a week, across all six engines.

More than 15 prompts. We do not have a plan that size on the shelf, and we would rather talk than invent a price. Email us.

On every plan

On every plan, not just the big one

Most of this category holds engines and seats back for a higher tier. We do not, and the page should say so plainly.

The plans differ by one thing only: how many prompts you track, across the same 5 brands. The measurement never gets better on a bigger plan. The rules behind every figure are in the methodology, and the engines are listed on platforms.

All six engines, tracked continuously. None held back for a higher tier.

  • Full answer text and every citation, kept and searchable.
  • Up to 5 brands.
  • Up to 25 competitors tracked.
  • Up to 25 teammates.
  • Email alerts on six kinds of change, with the noise suppressed.
  • Any of 212 markets and 128 languages, changeable whenever you like.
  • The API, the CLI and the MCP server, at the same rate limit on every plan.

The trial

A seven-day trial on any plan, with the card stated up front

Every plan starts with 7 free days. Checkout takes a card, and we say so on the button rather than leaving you to find it inside a payment form. Nothing is charged until the 7 days are up, and nothing at all if you cancel before then.

Every engine from the first run.
The trial is the first days of the plan you pick, from Solo to Scale, with all six engines on it and every answer kept in full.
Change plan mid-trial.
You keep the days you have left and nothing is charged that day. Everything collected so far stays where it is.
Cancel from inside the product.
You keep access to the end of the period you have paid for, your data stays readable, and you can export all of it.

What a prompt buys

Why a prompt is the unit

It is the only thing that costs us money, so it is the only thing we charge for. One prompt is 32 answers a week across all six engines, about 128 a month.

Everything else is included.
Seats, competitors, alerts and any of 212 markets cost us nothing to add, so a price on them would be a markup on nothing.
Two prompts is an honest floor.
With 128 answers a month behind each one, a rate on those two is a rate you can act on.
Larger plans buy breadth, nothing else.
Two cannot show you the shape of a category, because buyers ask the same thing a dozen ways. That is what the larger plans are for, and the only thing they are for.

One prompt, one week

Each dot is one run of the prompt

The days each engine runs one tracked prompt: five engines Monday to Saturday, Claude on Tuesday and Friday, and nothing on Sunday.

Against the market

AI mention tracking pricing, per prompt per engine

Per prompt, per engine, per month: the only unit that compares across a category that slices volume differently in every price list.

The workings are public. We compare nine tools on what the entry plan includes, read off each vendor’s own pricing page, and say where we come off worse.

Mid-market on price.
Our plans work out between 54 cents and 75 cents, against a median of 48 cents across 18 tiers from eight vendors, measured in September 2026.
Ahead on coverage.
At $9 we match the volume of the nearest comparable tool and include an engine it charges extra to add. At $49 we run six engines where most of the field runs three.
Not the cheapest, on purpose.
Cheapest in this category usually means fewer engines, a thinner schedule, or a number with no denominator attached to it.

Per prompt, per engine, per month

Each plan’s monthly price, divided by its prompts and by the six engines every prompt runs on.

Questions about plans, the trial and billing

If something here is unclear, ask us before you sign up rather than after.

Card required, nothing charged for 7 days

Do I need a card to start the trial?
Yes. The trial is 7 days and needs a card, and nothing is charged for those 7 days. Cancel any time before the end and you pay nothing. We put that on the button rather than in the small print, because finding it out inside a payment form is a bad way to meet it.
Why does RankHound price on prompts rather than seats?
Because a prompt is the only thing that costs us anything. One prompt is 32 answers a week across all six engines, about 128 a month. Charging for seats would bill you for people looking at a number rather than for producing it, which is why teammates are included on every plan.
Is two prompts really enough to learn anything?
For two prompts, yes: that is 256 answers a month, which is plenty of signal on those two. What it will not give you is a picture of a whole category, because buyers ask the same thing a dozen ways and you are watching two of them. It is also slower to show whether a change worked: with two prompts, a move often takes several weeks to clear the noise floor, and until then the honest answer is too early to say. Solo is for the two prompts you most need an answer on. If you want to know how a category behaves rather than two queries, start at Starter.
What is the difference between the plans?
One thing: how many prompts you track. Nothing else changes. Every plan runs all six engines, stores full answer text and citations, and carries 5 brands, 25 competitors and 25 teammates. Most of this category gates engines by tier: Otterly's $29 plan carries four engines and sells Gemini and Google AI Mode at $9 a month each and Claude at $29, so all seven come to $76. The measurement does not get better on a bigger plan.
Which market does RankHound measure?
Any of 212 countries, in any of 128 languages. You pick during onboarding and can change it in settings, and every prompt is then run from there. A workspace measures one market at a time, deliberately: AI answers vary by location, and blending two countries into one figure describes neither. A second market means a second brand, and every plan carries five.
What if I need more than 15 prompts?
Email us and we will work it out. We would rather have that conversation than put an invented number on a page, and there is no enterprise tier hiding behind a form.
Can I change plan or cancel?
Both, from inside the product, at any time. If you cancel you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, your data stays readable, and you can export all of it whenever you like.
