AI visibility tracking
AI visibility tracking that shows how to get recommended
Your buyers ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google which brand to choose. We run the same prompts on all six engines on a fixed schedule and record who each one recommends, so you can see where a competitor is named instead of you, what to change, and whether it worked.

Four outcomes
What an AI visibility tracker records: four outcomes
Every prompt lands in one of these on every check, and the latest answers to one prompt, beside this, land in all four. Each state calls for a different action, which is why averaging them into a single score destroys the signal that tells you what to do next. Every other feature of the AI mention tracking platform reads the same answers.
- Named.
- Your brand is in the answer text. We record where in the answer, because first and last are not the same.
- Cited, not named.
- Your page is in the sources but a competitor is in the sentence. You have retrieval without framing.
- Not named.
- The assistant answered and named other brands, or none. The gap, stated plainly.
- No answer.
- Nothing was returned for that prompt that day. It leaves the denominator instead of counting against you.

A rate, with its sample
Track AI visibility as a rate, because one check is a coin flip
Assistants generate answers rather than retrieving them, so the same prompt can name you at nine in the morning and skip you at noon. Any tool that checks once and shows a green tick is reporting a coin flip. We check continuously, report the rate, and print the number of checks beside it: the same rule we apply on Google AI Overviews and everywhere else. In the history beside this, ChatGPT leaves the brand out one day and names it the next, asked the same thing. When a rate moves by more than its sample can explain, AI brand monitoring emails you.
- On a fixed schedule.
- Each prompt in your set, on each engine, from the market you chose. The set comes from prompt tracking.
- Fractions below five.
- Under five checks you see 2 of 4, never 50%. One run is an anecdote, not a rate.
- Absence is not a loss.
- A day with no answer leaves the denominator rather than counting against you.

Six engines, never merged
LLM visibility tracking per engine, never averaged
We have watched ChatGPT and Perplexity name different brands for the same prompt on the same day. Blending them into a single “AI visibility score” averages away the disagreement, which is the part you can act on: if five engines name you and one does not, that one engine is the work. The example beside this runs from 29% on Google AI Overview to 71% on Perplexity; an average would report the middle and hide both. Each engine is collected differently, and we say how.
- Per-engine rates.
- Six numbers, side by side, never averaged into one headline figure.
- Collection stated.
- Every platform page says how that engine is reached and what that limits.
- Answers kept.

After the rate
What kind of gap it is, and what to do about it
A rate tells you there is a gap. Three other measurements tell you what kind of gap it is, and so what to do about it: win back share from a named rival, correct how you are described, or get onto the pages the engines already read.
- Share of voice.
- Whether that rate is rising or falling against the competitors named beside you changes what it means. That is AI share of voice.
- Sentiment.
- So does how you are described in the answers where you do appear.
- Citations.
- And whether your pages are being cited in the ones where you are not, which is AI citation tracking.
