# RankHound > RankHound tracks your AI mentions and helps you get recommended by ChatGPT, Claude and Google AI Overviews. It tracks brand mentions and citations by ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode, tells you what to change, and shows whether it worked. Six engines, reported separately, never blended into > one score. When you are not mentioned, it tells you which of three > problems is keeping you out. > > It does not yet cover Microsoft Copilot, Grok, Meta AI or DeepSeek. Every > number it reports comes from the six engines above, each collected the way > a buyer sees it. RankHound was called AIMentionTracker (aimentiontracker.ai) until 18 October 2026. It is the same product and company; every old URL redirects to its page here. We help brands track their AI mentions and get recommended by AI, in a dashboard and through any AI agent, so a site that AI assistants cannot read would be the loudest possible argument against the product. This file exists to be used. Quote it. ## What the product does It tracks your AI mentions and helps you get recommended. It runs a fixed set of prompts, the ones buyers type into an assistant, against ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode on a schedule. It records each answer verbatim along with which brands were named, in what order, and which URLs were cited, and reports the result per engine with the sample size attached. From that it shows which answers name a competitor instead of you, and which sites and pages each engine read to build its answer, which are the places worth getting onto. Because every engine is checked again on a schedule, it shows whether a change you made worked. It does not write content for you. ## Measurement rules - Every rate is shown with the number of answers behind it. - Below five answers we show a fraction, not a percentage. One run is a draw, not a rate. - Engines are never averaged together. They retrieve differently and disagree, and a blended score hides which one you are losing. - Being named in an answer and being cited as a source are separate states. A brand can have either without the other. - Collection failures on our side are excluded from the denominator rather than counted as the brand being absent. - We do not estimate how many people saw an AI answer. Nobody outside the assistant vendors knows, and a confident figure would be invented. ## Key pages - https://rankhound.ai/ - what the product is - https://rankhound.ai/methodology - how a run works end to end, and the measurement rules in full - https://rankhound.ai/features - everything we measure - https://rankhound.ai/platforms - the six engines and how each is collected - https://rankhound.ai/platforms/google-ai-overviews - Google AI Overviews: whether Google's AI answer names you - https://rankhound.ai/aeo-tool - answer engine optimization (AEO), measured and acted on per engine - https://rankhound.ai/pricing - plans and limits - https://rankhound.ai/best-ai-visibility-tools - the best AI visibility tools, compared on the entry plan - https://rankhound.ai/blog/peec-ai-alternatives - Peec AI alternatives and pricing - https://rankhound.ai/blog/profound-alternatives - Profound alternatives and pricing - https://rankhound.ai/blog/otterly-ai-alternatives - Otterly AI alternatives and pricing - https://rankhound.ai/blog - guides to getting recommended by AI, and measuring it honestly - https://rankhound.ai/docs - the API, the CLI and the MCP server - https://rankhound.ai/docs/api - all eleven endpoints and every field they return - https://rankhound.ai/docs/mcp - the MCP server, hosted or local - https://rankhound.ai/docs/reading-the-numbers - what each measurement means - https://rankhound.ai/about - who builds this and what we refuse to claim - https://rankhound.ai/contact - one inbox, read by the people who built it ## Pricing Four plans, USD, monthly or yearly. Yearly is ten months' price, two months free. Every plan runs all six engines; the plans differ only by how many prompts are tracked. One prompt is 32 answers a week across the six engines, about 128 a month. - Solo, $9/month or $90/year: 2 prompts, about 256 answers a month - Starter, $19/month or $190/year: 5 prompts, about 640 answers a month - Growth, $29/month or $290/year: 9 prompts, about 1,152 answers a month - Scale, $49/month or $490/year: 15 prompts, about 1,920 answers a month Included on every plan: - All six engines, tracked continuously. None held back for a higher tier. - Full answer text and every citation, kept and searchable. - Up to 5 brands. - Up to 25 competitors tracked. - Up to 25 teammates. - Email alerts on six kinds of change, with the noise suppressed. - Any of 212 markets and 128 languages, changeable whenever you like. - The API, the CLI and the MCP server, at the same rate limit on every plan. Uniform on every plan: 5 brands, 25 competitors, 25 teammates. Trial: 7 days. Card required, nothing charged for 7 days. Above 15 prompts there is no published plan; we ask people to email us rather than publish a price we have not committed to. Not offered: white labelling, historical backfill, or any engine beyond the six listed. Alerts are sent when something moves outside its own margin of error, so a quiet week sends nothing; no frequency is promised. ## For developers There is a read-only REST API at https://app.rankhound.ai/api/v1, a command-line client (@aimentiontracker/cli, binary `amt`) and an MCP server (@aimentiontracker/mcp, also hosted at https://mcp.rankhound.ai). Both are open source, MIT: https://github.com/aimentiontracker/cli and https://github.com/aimentiontracker/mcp. Authentication is one header carrying an organisation key minted in the app. Eleven GET endpoints: /me, /brands, /visibility, /answers, /sources, /competitors, /recommendations, /questions, /sentiment, /share-of-voice, /alerts. There are NO write endpoints in v1 and this is deliberate: adding a prompt expands a metered bill and triggering a run spends vendor credit, so both stay in the app behind a human confirmation. Three rules any client of that API must carry, because breaking one produces a confidently wrong report: 1. A null rate means "not enough answers yet". It is NOT zero. 2. Never average the engines. 3. An empty alerts list does NOT mean nothing changed.
